The Devil's Double (2011) - GOOD MOVIE
The Devil's Double is based on the true story of Latif Yahia an Iraqi
Lieutenant kidnapped from the front-line in the Iran/Iraq war to become
the body double for Saddam Hussein's notoriously vicious and sadistic
son Uday.
This film is magnificent. Well directed and brilliantly performed,
the characters of Yahya Latif and Uday Hussein are so well played as to
you can see the difference in personalities and the conflict between
them, and they are played by the same actor. Brilliant! It is a
beautiful film to watch, it is very visual and not for those who are
squeamish. Great narrative and very intriguing, always keeping you
interested at every moment.
This film is definitely NOT for children. The portrayal of unchecked cruelty and
power is unforgettable.
